(PRE-ORDER - RELEASING 1ST OCTOBER). Seiko 5 Sports x Bruce Lee Limited Edition Automatic Black Dial Black Leather Strap SRPK39K1. The SRPK39K1 is housed in a 42.5mm black PVD coated stainless steel case. The design of the case emulates the Seiko 5 Sports predecessor, the SKX. Like the SKX it features a push/pull crown at 4 o'clock and a unidirectional rotating bezel. The case itself has been treated to a brushed finish, its sleek all black design pays homage to his kung-fu outfits. The caseback showcases the'Jeet Kune Do' logo which is a reference to his eclectic martial arts philosophy, conceived by him from his experiences in unarmed fighting and self-defense. The design of the dial continues to pay tribute to Lee's aesthetics and beliefs.
His dragon artwork is etched into the black dial, while the characters on the dial are a reference to the Jeet Kune Do teaching of'Using no way as way, having no limitation as limitation. The golden framed hour markers and handset stand out against the backdrop of the black dial, rendering them easily readable. A day-date display window is located at 3 o'clock, while the Seiko 5 Sports logo is located beneath the 12 o'clock marker. The watch is presented on a black leather strap, emulating his famous Kung Fu outfits.
Lee's dragon artwork is printed onto the back of the strap, while the additional nylon strap resembles his tracksuits. It fastens through the use of a pin buckle clasp. Seiko's in-house built automatic movement, the 4R36, powers this timepiece. It is a self-wind and manual movement that offers a power reserve of 41 hours. It is water resistant to 100 metres, which means it can be worn when swimming in shallow waters.
It is limited to just 15,000 pieces worldwide.
